NORM APPLEGATE

Norman Applegate is an author and consultant, with a growing body of work to his credit.  Born in Glasgow Scotland, growing up in Toronto Canada and now residing in Florida with his wife Cheryl, Norm Applegate works and travels for an international consulting company, then occasionally scares the “heck” out of his family with his thoughts and writings.

His early years in Toronto were filled with aspirations of the late 60’s hippie music scene, and as a drummer in numerous bands led to a short lived career playing the bars and clubs in the Toronto area. The band Photograph, signed to a recording studio, made some noise on the coast to coast CBC radio show, the Entertainers, and after the legal issues strangled them into submission, they went their separate ways. The life of drugs, sex and rock and roll were over, sad but true.

His first novel, “Into the Basement,” a raw dark thriller introduced us to his unlikely heroine Kim Bennett and is scheduled for a movie release in 2009 with Triad Studios. His follow up novel, “Into the Spell,” continued with Kim Bennett and the dark world of hypnosis, the paranormal and murder. Early 2008, Norm released a short story called “Jumpers,” with a Twilight Zone feel to it in the horror anthology “From the Shadows.”

Currently Mr. Applegate is a resident of Sarasota Florida, where he is working as a principle for the movie “Into the Basement,” a new horror thriller, and possible a sequel to Blood Bar.

For more information about Norman and his upcoming projects go to www.normanapplegate.com.

NICHOLAS GRABOWSKY

Nicholas Grabowsky’s novels of horror/fantasy, both as himself, as Nicholas Randers, and as Marsena Shane, have generated worldwide acclaim for over two decades and praised by many of today’s most popular horror gurus in the literary world.  He began his career in traditional publishing houses with brisk sellers in mass market paperback horror, and the last ten years have seen him hailed by many as a mentor and advocate to the smaller presses, which has become to him a passion.

His body of work includes the award-winning macabre aliens-among-us epic The Everborn, The Rag Man, Pray Serpent’s Prey, Halloween IV (and its special edition), Diverse Tales, Reads & Reviews and The Wicked Haze, Sweet Dreams Lady Moon, numerous anthologies and magazine articles, with projects extending to screenplays, poetry, songs, film, and a wide variety of short fiction and nonfiction since the 1980’s.

He’s a veteran special guest at numerous genre conventions and makes appearances and signings across the United States.  He has been in the limelight as a radical gospel preacher right out of high school and in the following years a rock vocalist, teacher, lecturer and activist, editor, publisher and founder of the Sacramento-based Diverse Media small press, which has recently blossomed into the subdivisions of Black Bed Sheet Press, which publishes local talent, and Black Bed Sheet Productions, which produces independent film.

Currently, Nicholas is at work with numerous anthologies, graphic novels and comic books, an Everborn sequel and the novels The Downwardens and The Sirens of Knowland. His independent film projects include the upcoming slasher creature feature Cutting Edges, as well as co-writing the independent film Into the Basement, for Triad Pictures.

Welcome to Black Bed Sheet Books.......taking over the world even as you're reading this.......

Abandoned on the snow-covered, icy banks of the Ohio River, left there by a clan of otherworldly fiends who could no longer bear the incessant whining of the most unusual infant, Terry "Horns" Erwin was delivered on a dark and stormy and cold December night in the same month and year the Satanic Bible was first published…..1969 (frightened yet?). Well, maybe it wasn’t storming, and factually it was a nearby Cincinnati hospital, but for the purpose of sounding cooler he would like us to entertain it to be so. Born under the sign of the Goat, this rebellious soul started writing fiction at an early age. His very first short story "The Sad Dragon", written in the wild, jungle gym confines of primary school, won a prestigious blue ribbon award and infected him with the proverbial bug he’d later in life come to discover had burrowed deep within the core of his brain and cocooned there, waiting to mature and eventually claw out in one fierce, gore-splattered evening in 1999. By then the monstrous creature of sinister creativity had grown and become a thing of unstoppable, dark ideas that continues to this day to spew its horror on the written page. Feasting over the long years on a steady diet of horror books, slasher films, and metal music, it’s no wonder the content of the beast within has led him to pen some of the creepiest, most shocking tales known to mankind.

Sue Dent was born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi and currently resides in Ridgeland. When not writing, Sue designs websites and works with digital photography. She's the author of the Bram Stoker short-listed "Never Ceese," and the upcoming "Electric Angel" from BBS.

JASON M. TUCKER

Jason M. Tucker grew up in the Adirondacks, and he is now a fulltime writer living in Southern California, where the sun always shines and the only thing rising faster than the undead is the cost of living. He's a proud father of two with a (usually) pleasant ex-wife, great ex-girlfriends and an estranged boxer dog named Ember. If he weren't writing, he'd probably be raising and breeding ball pythons. Seriously.  Check out www.jasonmtucker.com to find out more about what he's up to and where you can find other works.  He is the author of MEAT CITY & OTHER STORIES from BBS.
